Part 1 - Download and Unzip

Download the file.
Click the Download button to save the
.zipfile, usually to your Downloads folder. - 2
Move it to a permanent home.
Create a folder where the file can stay long-term, for example a
Chrome Extensionfolder inside Documents, and move the.zipfile into it. Do not leave it in Downloads, which often gets cleared out. - 3
Unzip the file.
- Windows: Right-click the
.zipfile, choose Extract All..., then Extract. - Mac: Double-click the
.zipfile.
This creates an unzipped folder next to the
.zip. That folder is what Chrome will use. - Windows: Right-click the

Keep the unzipped folder in place.
Do not delete or move it after this point. Chrome links directly to its location. You can delete the original
.zipif you like, but leave the unzipped folder alone.
Part 2 - Load the Extension into Chrome

Open Google Chrome.

Open the Extensions page.
Type
chrome://extensionsinto the address bar and press Enter. - 7
Turn on Developer mode.
Flip the Developer mode toggle in the top-right corner to on.

Click Load unpacked.

Select your unzipped folder.
In the file browser, choose the unzipped folder, which will be called
select-this-folder-for-chrome, from Step 3, then click Select Folder on Windows or Select on Mac.Tip: Pick the folder that directly containsmanifest.json. If unzipping nested the files inside a folder of the same name, open the outer one and select the inner folder. - 10
You are done.
The extension now appears on your Extensions page and is active. To pin it to your toolbar, click the puzzle-piece icon and pin it.
